I worked with several ācar rigsā for cinematics; RBC + Launch Control (Blender to UE),
which meant export my scene to Blender to block, animate and reimport with Datasmith to UE.
Then I found Rush Hour (UE), which I used quite a lot, but I had to go to Blender to rig my cars.
And they all needed Take Recorder. You get quite cool physics, but a lot was trial and error.
And you were not able to correct things in sequencer, so if you were unhappy, redo the sessionā¦
The fact CCR is working directly in sequencer is great, easy to work with and so much fun.
Simply drag/draw your spline for the route and from there the fun part starts!
Every imaginable function for car animation is exposed and can be keyed in sequencer.
Besides that, the process to get your custom car working is fairly simple.
You just need your wheels and body as separate meshes (even Blueprints!) and a few clicks, boom, doneā¦
In addition you can add a functional steer and calipers
As an animator I donāt really want to hassle with technical stuff, I want to animate!
Though as I felt the need for an āopen/close doorā function inside sequencer,
within a short time and some hints from Madgoat even I was able to get this implemented to CCRā¦
This Plugin is both a time saver and a lot of fun!
