Building Information

Smith Tower is an historic 38-storey, 140 metre skyscraper in Seattle's Pioneer Square, completed in 1914. It was the tallest building west of the Mississippi River until 1931 and remained the tallest on the U.S. West Coast until 1962. Built by typewriter magnate Lyman Cornelius Smith, the tower features a distinctive pyramid-shaped cap and now serves as office space and a popular tourist destination with an observation deck offering panoramic views of Seattle.
