“don’t to use landscape” suggestion seems to be occurring a lot and have seen this suggestion in many other threads too, but what are the pros and cons. If it instantly solves the problem, why would engine developers put so much time and effort in making it.
One more thing that you haven’t explained, in what size of world? lets say in a world as large as Fallout, RDR2, … would it still be performant to use just mesh for your entire landscape? How it would affect world partitioning, automatically loading/unloading assets that are not in Line of sight?
