To keep the map memory consumption under control what are the necessary steps you might perform. Do you know about any devices that generally consumes more memory

The first thing I’d do is look at the list that is generated when you do a memory calculation. (Step 7 in this doc)
World partition can add a bit of complexity, so I’d only look into that after trying to clean up that list.
