It's worth to use html5 platform extension or is the same as keep using ue4.23?

What’s the diference? Using 4.23 right from the launcher is so easy and html5 plain works. but what features i’m not getting because of this?
Is the platform extension superior in any way? (final size/features/speed/etc?)
