Hi,
I work with a Education provider and we have lab machines with UE 5.4 installed. The Epic Games Launcher is configured to automatically update the UE versions as they come out.
The problem we face is that the routine that is performing the update is not housekeeping itself after the fact (or it tries but fails). This results in several versions of UE being retained on the C:\ drive and this fills up the disk.
Our manual fix is to open Epic Game Launcher and perform a “verify” on the UE. This kicks off a routine that housekeeps successfully and the space is reclaimed.
It’s not practical to visit every machine and also log into the Epic Game Launcher prior to performing this verify action. I was hoping that someone has a scripted way of performing this task.
Be gentle, I have zero coding knowledge of UE. I do know my way around SCCM and the PSADT packaging tool.
Thanks
