Hey! This is very exciting. I do have a question though!
I have a project that I’ve been working on for almost 2 years, and a lot of it is heavily developed in UDK with thousands of lines of UnrealScript code. These past months I have been porting the game over to UE4. If I submit a video of my project, will it still be considered if I show off some of the more advanced features from the UDK version, that haven’t been ported to UE4 yet? I plan to have both the UE4 and UDK builds featured in the video. Rest assured, eventually I will have the whole thing in UE4, but showing the UDK build is the best way for me to show the more advanced features to be added in the future.
Also, a second question: if and when Epic notifies me about the , will I be able to coordinate the transaction details with them before the is actually sent to me? I would not want them to send it directly to the card I had set up for paying my UE4 subscription, I would want a custom (perhaps deferred) transaction to be set up with them, so the money goes to a more secure location. I’d imagine other developers might share this concern as well.
Please let me know! Thanks for your time,
If your game can be well communicated and you’ve got a working prototype, then submit away
Re: notifications and transfers - Sill working out the details there, but will get a more comprehensive FAQs together once we’ve got some of these things sorted out
