The share the same master material -> but all of them have their own material instance constant (1 for the grass, 1 for the field grass and another one for the herbs/flowers)
yes and No. you if you could change more than one colour in the mesh to get a variation and so it doesn’t look fake, it could be useful, it is header to get a really good resalt but I do think you can get it, but yes you tend get a better resalt when you use a texture crated in Photoshop.
