improvement: ability to copy local variables

as improvement consider the ability to copy local variables in the tab / slot as you can copy global variables

Could you clarify what you mean? Local variables can already be duplicated / copied & pasted.

in the tab or list or bar of global variables, you can select a variable and when you control c and control v, you have copied the variable or duplicated the variable
you can only do this for global variables not local variables
for me, it is a fast way to add variables while working

Duplicate. You can hit ctrl+d, it works for vars in the list, components, functions, nodes, widgets, lots of stuff.

you are right, control d does work to duplicate local variables
though control c, control v does not work for local variables (it gives and error) though it works for global variables
but it suppose control d can suffice
