Image alignment deterioration with multiple alignments

Hi guys!

I wanted to get some advice on a minor problem that pops up every once in a while in my workflow. When I’m working on a project, and I have to do several alignments (such as adding more images into the project, or adding in additional control points), I’ve noticed that select images will slowly deteriorate in alignment quality, and I’m not sure how to get Reality Capture to correctly position the images again. The first image is a smaller alignment where all of the images are in the correct position, and the second is farther down the line where several images are flying off into space. Any advice?

Hi Lincoln, are you merging the components or are you providing a new alignment? It looks like camera parameters were changed during computation. Can you compare the calibration parameters before and after alignment? Have you tried to lock them?

Hi Ondrej! for this project, I was doing successive alignments where I would add a new set of images each time and see if it had aligned correctly. Where can I find the calibration parameters, and how would I lock them?

Okay, I found the lock pose setting! I didn’t even know that existed! That’s going to be incredibly helpful for some of the projects I’ve been working on.
