When you are looking at assets, those redundancies are what helps you make sense of things. If you have T_ prefix on every texture, OS groups your textures when you search for them in command line, or do merges in VCS. Same thing with SM_ SK_ M_ MI_ and so on. They also help you do quick searches in content browser as well. They are there for a reason.

I agree , it’s a lot easier to find stuff if it has appropriate prefix.
