Please do not follow these suggestions and do not check Allow apps downloaded from Anywhere. This opens up your computer to potentially run harmful software/malware, breaking the intent of the OSX Gatekeeper. Until the signing error can be fixed, open this application by right-clicking (control-click) the Epic Games Launcher icon in the Applications Finder window.
This will present a dialog stating “Epic Games Launcher” can’t be opened because the identity of the developer cannot be confirmed. You will see an Open button. Click the Open button and the app will open normally and will open normally from this point on.
There is a problem with the application signature:
$ codesign -v /Applications/Epic\ Games\ Launcher.app/
/Applications/Epic Games Launcher.app/: **a sealed resource is missing or invalid**
Unsure what the problem is, but this is the result of codesign -dvvv:
$ codesign -dvvv /Applications/Epic\ Games\ Launcher.app/
Executable=/Applications/Epic Games Launcher.app/Contents/MacOS/EpicGamesLauncher-Mac-Shipping
