How would I add a rope where you go up/down

I have a rope here where if I press on it it disables movement and when I press again it takes me off enabling movement.


I would like it to also disable any sort of physics (no gravity, nothing) and when you press W you slowly move up, and when you press S you slowly go down, how would I do so? (fairly new so screenshots would be nice)

setting movement to flying in the CMC would be the usual way
