Hi there,
I am trying to create an enemy spawner and normally, I would just set spawn points and spawn actor there, but I have a top down shooter where I want enemies to spawn slightly outside of my current view from random directions. I have found the below image useful for getting the current viewport area, and thought maybe a variation of it could check for the space just outside my viewport and spawn things there, but I am open to any approach. Picture Diablo, but the enemies spawn randomly and aren’t preset in the level.
well? did you have tried your idea?
it appears you have a good plan. what is the issue?
Haha, thanks for checking in. I threw my hands in the air because I couldn’t get it working and moved on to my new project, an ARPG in third person. Now I will have a bunch of questions trying to animate the character because I am garbage in anim blueprints, state machines, blend spaces, etc…
try spending a few days checking this project will help you get up to speed faster with unreal
