I’ve looked at tutorials and no matter what I try I can’t get past the extreme behavior of the field system. In all cases, there is either no destruction or total destruction.
What I have tried is the following.
1:Change the Dynamic State to Dynamic and add External Strain and “Linear Velocity”. The result is that the anchor field is invalidated and completely destroyed by very little force.
2:Change the Dynamic State to Dynamic and add External Strain and “Linear Force”. The result is that bugs occur, fractures harden, and the simulation is ruined.
3:Add Linear Velocity and External Strain without change Dynamic State. The result is that no destruction occurs at all, only forces act on what is already destroyed.
4:Add Linear Velocity and External Strain for collections without anchor fields. Result is the entire collection is sent flying without any destruction, and when it falls, destruction occurs and it explodes.
I also tried torquing it, physically hitting it, and changing the internal strain, but nothing made a big difference. It was ultimately impossible to cause destruction at the point where the force was applied; the entire structure was destroyed, or only very limited destruction was caused, or the force will propagate and destroy unrelated parts.
But sometimes the videos show the destruction I want to see.
What is the difference between what they do and what I do? What is causing such different results?
