I don’t have 5.6 installed currently so can’t check it for myself unfortunately. But assuming what you explained is the case, you’ll need to obtain the SKM’s you’re looking for one way or another.
Maybe try including starter content 
Normally that’s not it but there were many changes in 5.6, maybe this is one of them.
