How to Download Unreal Engine Version 5.5.3 After Upgrading to 5.5.4? Problem with Animations...

Does anyone know a way to download version 5.5.3? I updated to 5.5.4 and it broke all the animations I made with Modular Control Rig. This had already happened when I migrated from 5.5.2 to 5.5.3, and now it’s happening again. Is there any way to download that previous version?

Simple answer: NO. Epic does not keep old release online for download., because ‘the chance that something breaks is small’ . To be honest, in the vast majority of cases this is true, nevertjheless, I suggested it would be a good idea to have at least a back door to have the previous version at hand, just in case.

What I tend do do now in case of these sub-sub version updates is:
= make sure you have a good backup of your project(s) - of course, this should be standard practice anyway
= make a backup of the Unreal version directory: create a zip-file or make a copy of the whole version tree.
= create a test project that contains the most critical aspects of your project(s).
= run the update
= open and work in the test project you created as if you worked in the normal project
= if all seems OK, start working in your project(s)
If all works well for some time, you can remove the backups of the projects and engine folders.
In case something is severely wrong and cannot easily be fixed, reverse to the old version be restoring the saved versions
