Hey all I know its an old thread but something worth posting for those who might need it.
Looks like they added a property for strings called Multi-line Text.
in this case I had to enable this property , save the struct, then compile the affected blueprints. After that I was able to use shift-enter in the details panel to add my linebreaks without any workarounds.
