I really like what can be done with ALVS and would love to use it for my multiplayer game, however, it’s very hard to integrate with multiplayer, Ive tried a github project out that does make it compatible with multiplayer, however upon further testing, there are several issues.
Another issue I have with ALVS is it’s just not easy to build upon. The core systems its using are very complex and for the game I’m making would not be time-efficient.
Ive been looking at the new Animation project sample that Epic just released and it seems promising, however, it’s also not multiplayer-ready. Ive seen some projects on the marketplace that make motion matching replicated, but it still felt off.
So my question is, are these systems even production-ready? Would anyone recommend using them? Yes they look very cool, but practicality-wise should I just stick to blend spaces? I would love to work with the new motion matching stuff, but there are not many great resources on it as it’s new and I’m not sure if it’s a smart idea yet.
