Note that you are talking to the community and not necessarily epic.
epic already provides a ton of benefits if you launch on egs.
there are docs, if you search online youll find them.
i just got an email today saying that you will get 100% of your sales before 1M each year.
which means no commission at all. worth checking.
iirc egs also gives you a benefit if you launch exclusively on egs for a period of time, so it’s worth holding back on launching on steam and launching on egs first.
check the docs.
also the commission is like 12% which is less than half of 30% of steam, which i think is a good enough benefit too.
there’s a plugin and lots of docs for that, you can find them online.
iirc you can use EOS even on other distribution platforms like steam or others. so you only need to code it once, and will allow crossplay between steam and egs players.
i don’t know how the steam integration goes if you use eos.
i recommend that you find the unreal for indies page, they have links to a ton of things, including the discord, which has a channel for questions on egs, and you might get some official answers (but mostly community too).
