Hiding the Virtual Textbox on Android

Sep 17, 2020
By default, Android adds a textbox above the keyboard when inputting text into a UMG textbox:

That textbox is added by UE4 to ensure IME features work properly for different languages. If you want to hide it, you can comment out newVirtualKeyboardInput.setY(keyboardYPos); in to keep it hidden at -1000 offscreen, or you can move it elsewhere out of view.

Be Aware: Removing/hiding it may cause issues in other regions if users can’t interact with the textbox.
