I had the same issue but I found the problem, in the Component section you need to put your groom in the right place. For exemple, I made the groom in blender using the skeletal mesh “Face” as base, so in UE5 Component section, my groom has to be a child of the skeletal mesh “Face” just like you set it up in your binding. Unless your groom isn’t the child of the right skeletal base, UE5 will continue to crash.
