Hi Robert Ward-Booth

On a second test job I had a small problem where an external door had been closed when the external photographs and scanning was undertaken but then left open as I traversed into the building to do the internal scanning and photography. When the model was generated the door was then just partially generated (please see dropbox link for test file Redcoats 7)

You can disable/mask out images that make troubles…

On this second test job I also had a problem where there are differences in the exposure of colour data recorded by the laser scanner and the exposure of photography and differences in exposure on the orthophoto where colour/ texture data has been taken from photographs taken internally and externally (please orthophotos 11 and 12 for test file Redcoats 7 below)

different exposures can be solved with proper image capture and RAW processing

On a third test job I have found that I was able to align photo’s in photoscan by carefully aligning different sets of photographs into chunks and then aligning chunks together. However, when I tried the same thing in RC the photo’s did not align and I am unsure how to control the generation of different models or how to then link models together. Do you have a video tutorial to illustrate how best to manage the alignment of photographs ? - Is there a method of alignment which allows different “chunks” to be created and then aligned in the same way as in photoscan ?

we use COMPONENTS not chunks, currently working on data for HELP so it will be available…

Looking at the license options available on your website I have to say that the 15,000 Euro option looks like a lot of money for an individual surveyor such as myself. However, although the offer of a 99 Euro three month license is really very good value I would be very reticent to start using a regular workflow which includes software which is not on perpetual license and although the software is not as good I would prefer to keep using photoscan if I am not able to buy a perpetual license for RC. Please can I ask whether there is an option to buy a perpetual license for the reduced version of RC (i.e. up to 2,500 photos) ? and if so what your price for this would be ?

there is no PERPETUAL license like PROMO with 2500 images limit, ONLY as subscription.
