After experimenting a lot with Creature placers and Spawners, I’ve written up this list of what I think would really expand the possibilities of game mechanics involving Creatures in Creative.
(At least in the mean time until we can build our own AI enemies )
-
More control over Spawning: It would be fantastic if the creature placer had a function that spawned a new creature when triggered. Similar to how you can produce a new Guard from a Guard Spawner when desired.
-
Forced Targeting: Similar to how Sentries and Guards have a function to force target a player, it would be very handy to have the ability to force creatures to target specific players, regardless of their proximity. Perhaps even being able to target specific creative props to attack until destroyed?
-
Customizable Targeting: In addition to above, having the ability to customise what creatures can target would be a valuable addition. (Can they see sentries, players, guards, etc.)
-
Separate Structure/Environment Damage settings: It would be really useful if there was an option to adjust/disable players from damaging structures and environment separate from creatures. For example, players cannot damage structures but creatures could break it down.
-
Bonus pipe-dream: It would be amazing if we could reference creatures within Verse, allowing us to manipulate their health and behaviour dynamically. Perhaps even specific creature elimination events, movement speed and more.
