Hi.
I checked the newest release.

Would’nt it be nice if there was something like this in RC ?
Hi Wishgranter.
Are there any news on the “importing-fbx-from-zbrush”-topic?
Do any oft the new releases of RC adress this ?
Best regards …

Hi Christian Kuck
Need check it out and send DEVs repro steps data…
Steps to make in zbrush, export RC obj, import in ZBrush and sculp/dynamsesh etc ready, back to RC, Export in Zbrush,
3d exporter, x y z in mm update size ratios , visible on, TAB (MOVE to ORIGIN ) OFF !!, TAB (orgiginal size) on and export bij OBJ, and import in RC model and texture. En klaar is kees ;)
When I don’t define a custom ground plane, I can export and import obj’s just fine. It’s only when I rotate the model using define ground plane and then export I get alignment issues with import and export between programs. And no, I’m not going to fiddle with renaming the file names of the export info in order to get it working properly…that seems like a band-aid and not a real solution.
It would be nice to have an option to actually rotate the model/camera alignments as a whole separate from the ground plane and have that locked. Currently it looks like the local axis of the model and camera alignment is locked on image alignment with no way to force it to a custom rotation after the fact.
Great power and speed in the program, but there are some basic functionality problems that shouldn’t exist that slow down the production pipeline efficiency.
Keep up the updates and good work!
This is the exact same problem I have posted on this thread - https://support.capturingreality.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115001154171
Looks like after 2+ yrs, its still happening.
