Error (0xc0000142) when running epic games launcher for the first time?

follow this steps
Right click on the application giving you this error (Code 0xc0000142).
Navigate to its properties.
Click on the compatibility tab.
Choose the compatibility mode according to your system.
Click Apply and then Ok.
