I’ve been tracking the issue on my end for a while. What I’ve discovered so far is that Unreal Engine’s GPU memory usage continously increases, but RAM usage stays around the same, which leads me to believe that it’s creating and throwing away buffers somewhere - or failing to stream properly.
Would it help if I sent in a copy of the project? It’s rather small (<1gb) and in early stages, but already affected by it.
That unfortunately did not help, still getting the same freeze after a while. Initial launch was a bit longer (~28 minutes) but overall nothing really changed.
Can you send me a copy of your project so I can see if I’m getting the same error that is experiencing. I haven’t been able to fully reproduce this on my end thus far.
I was able to reproduce this and have entered a bug report, UE-32392, to be assessed by the development staff. At present the best I can suggest is to not leave the editor tabbed out while running to prevent this from occurring.
