I had the same issue, but I’m not 100% sure what fixed it. I tried these steps:

Zoom in close to the mesh. If it doesnt have cracks, it doesnt have a fracture mesh. Click “fracture mesh” to generate it. Then check that the “preview depth” switched from 0 to 1 and test with the slider.

Restart Unreal Engine and try step 1 again.

Test with a mesh that already has destructable mesh and make sure the slider works. If it does, it should with the new mesh too.
