Deformable tyres

Not sure how to go about this so thought i would ask question on here, I would like to try and achieve deforming tyres on an offroad vehicle I’m working on. The visible wheels i want to deform are a static mesh attached to the socket of an invisible physical wheel. I’m just after some pointers as not worked with chaos before so not sure if it will be suitable, and considered maybe cloth simulation could be fudged to do it. Thanks in advance!

Essentially, according to me anyway, material and vertex deformation are the best way to go about it in order to achieve the soft to flat look based on a parameter value you can change at runtime.

Thanks for that, not done much in that area of materials so that hadnt occurred to me, but thansk, thats just the kind of pointer i was hoping for, now ill look for the other post and get some research done!
