I’m still checking with some other team members, but I don’t think we have any documentation that exists publicly yet for this feature.
You can access it in the Static Mesh Editor from the UV dropdown in the toolbar. Select Generate UVs and use the new window to set up how the UV projection should be done. I’ve not used it more than just a few minutes to quickly check how it works, but it doesn’t appear to overwrite existing UVs. so the default UV that it sets and creates can be overwritten. In the UV dropdown menu, select that UV channel and then as you generate and play around with the settings, you’ll be able to see how it’s being unwrapped for the projection.
