Creating a whole game without using Blueprint

This…

Also, remember you are young and have much to learn about the world. In a few years when you enter the real world there will be many lessons learnt. In many cases in business the destination is far more important than the journey. Many employers don’t give squat about how you got the result, they are only interested that you have done it and done it efficiently (they have big bonuses for meeting those milestones you know and need to pay off that new porsche somehow). In the case of this topic, if that meant you were making a game to meet specific performance targets of a specific platform or higher and blueprints was able to deliver that, and do so in less time than pumping out lines of c++, guess what, it’s getting done in blueprints. Both blueprints and c++ are tools to achieve a result. Neither is better or worse than the other and it depends on the use case. Learn both and you have the best of both worlds.

Also, there is so much to learn. If you want to develop programs (either games, apps, whatever) then sure learn to code primarily. If you want to develop games then use some of the smart tools available to get your feet wet, just get in and make some games, this will teach you more than you know. You’ll learn about many of the different roles in game development (especially if you do them all yourself) and might find you rather something other than just coding all day long.
