Creating a new Project then what?

It’s true - jumping headfirst into ‘The next big thing’ will leave you stranded in an ocean with everyone else’s failures. Honestly, start small. Get to grips with UE4 (They’re giving you some incredible tools to work with). Make a room with functioning objects. Then work on a house. Then two houses. Then a street.

If you haven’t already - check out the UE4 tutorials: http://goo.gl/aPG5ZO
They’ll whizz you off in the right direction.

Coming from a programming background I understand how sometimes very creative projects can seem very random or organized… If this is your first project with UE4 or any other engine for that matter, just make something. It can be anything, a simple game where the objective is something very simple like, walking to the end of a level or re-crate your bedroom. It doesn’t have to be A full RPG out of the gate… just get the creative juices going!
