Terresculptor Standard Edition is free for academic, commercial, non-commercial and student use.
Only TerreSculptor Professional is pay for use and has four different licenses.
And Pro was also always totally free for all uses during its entire alpha, beta, and release candidate phases, which was multiple years up until month (Dec 2016).
has always been the case with the TerreSculptor edition licenses.
TerreSculptor Standard Edition which has a free license and no expiry date is available for download.
TerreSculptor Professional Edition is available at the online store at store.demenzunmedia.com and at an extremely reasonable price.
I am very appreciative and thankful to anyone who buys a copy.
There is a reason why most of type of software costs some money.
The years of development have cost me hundreds of thousands of dollars and hours of development time.
If the sales are sufficiently good enough, the income will be reinvested into hiring another programmer so that future features can be added much more quickly.
The current wish list of thousands of future features will take me a few years to implement and complete.
Does TerreSculpter have the ability to export tiled terrains?
I am strongly thinking about picking up a copy
Does TerreSculpter have the ability to export tiled terrains?
[/QUOTE]
Tiled heightmap/mask export and ARGB splatmap masks (also with tiled export support) are both already under development and are coming very soon.
Tiled export is also being added to the current Extractor mask dialogs (Altitude, Slope, etc.).
They are on the list of items coming next after the dark user interface update (almost 50% complete) and the new rain erosion tool (100% complete).
The dark interface and rain erosion tool will both be in the next build release which should be sometime in January 2017.
You can find out more about the dark interface and rain erosion on the Demenzun Media blog.
I would expect tiled export and splatmap masks to be only a few months after that, so sometime in Q1/Q2 2017.
I will post updates about the tiled export and splatmap progress on the blog.
All four of these major features are free updates for current software licensees, along with a number of additional new features and fixes that are already completed.
The dark user interface will also be available on TerreSculptor Standard Edition (the free download link is on the bottom of the TerreSculptor page, or on the online store).
The rain erosion, tiled terrain, and splatmap will all be TerreSculptor Professional Edition features.
Thank you for your support.
But the wiki says it isnāt: http://www.lilchips.com/wiki/doku.php?id=licensing
Well now there is an embarrassing glitch in the works.
The wiki will be updated. Thanks.
The license information on the Demenzun Media website and the store are the correct license.
The Standard Edition is free and can be used for academic, commercial, non-commercial, and student.
