This is for my game Son of Sparta . . .
So here is my issue. When using the built in character movement I am having a hard time getting the combat to “FEEL” good. It feels, choppy and blocky. So Here are some of the things I have tried:

Using the built in movement - I use root motion with the animations for both the attacker and Attacky - but it feels choppy and just not very good. To be clear, the attack animation moves with root motion and so does the person bing hit so the hit animation is also being moved by root motion.

I have tried not moving them with root motion and using thing like move or character launcher to move the character for the attack and the stun, ALSO does not “FEEL” good.

I have tried a good old fashion Capsule and moving that with old fashion force or impulse I should say and that FELT GREAT!
BUT - the problem is, Is that doing it this way and creating my own physics character is very problematic especially with jumps and landing and stepping off of edges and so forth…
I have seem every tutorial - I read every forum, and I don’t know what to do ?
Is there any advice you guys can give me ?
And as far as my request which is far fetched, would UNREAL ever consider creating a physics based moment system ?
