Cannot package if common ui plugin is enabled

Hello, I get PackagingResults: Error: Unknown Error in UE5.2 if some plugins are activated. The Common UI plugin and Niagara UI renderer are problematic.

I created a new project blueprint, third person template, without these plugins the package works perfectly. I can play the game.

I package for windows only, I have visual studio 2022 installed with these modules enabled (see screenshot)

I really need these 2 plugins, and I guess in the future I might need to use other plugins. I need help please

without any more details its hard to tell. do you have anything in the log?

Yes, without any plugin added the project is packaged and is playable. The project whose log I published is a blank project with only the third person template. I wanted to identify where the problem came from. And I can say that this packaging error “error unknown” appears if I activate one of the 2 plugins mentioned in my first post.

No I don’t have Visual Studio 2019 installed. Only the 2022. I will install it immediately and try again

it should work with 2022 version. Try to generate project files and do Rebuild then try to package game.

Problem solved. After several days of struggling here is what finally solved my problem.

By wanting to generate the project file as Evil_Pee suggested to me, I realized that I did not have the generate visual studio project file option in the windows context menu by right-clicking on the game exe.

To fix this I followed this forum:

(Don’t forget to run the newly placed ‘UnrealVersionSelector’ once after I set the new association)

The option in the context menu finally appeared. I can again use the epic game launcher to launch my projects.

But the generate visual studio project file option was giving me an error. So I installed visual studio 2019 in addition to the 2022 that I already had.

Despite this I still could not generate the project file with visual studio. On the other hand, by launching the project from the epic launcher, the project opens. I relaunched a packaging with the plugins activated and finally it worked.
