In short, yes, if you can pick up that free asset in the marketplace you can use them in your games, but if they appeared in a game produced by Epic, you can not create sequels or recreate, emulate, or republish those games. You also can not use game titles, logos, or character names from Epic Games (for example if the character was originally in a game made by Epic, that name is a no go when you use that character from the marketplace.)
