Can I use 3D assets from Fab’s Standard License in a revenue generating web app?

Hi everyone,

I’m working on a commercial web app called, which allows dentists and patients to interact with 3D dental models through an embedded viewer in the browser.

I’m looking to purchase a few assets from Fab, and I noticed they’re under the Standard License. Before I move forward, I want to make sure I’m interpreting the license correctly.

Here’s what I’d like to confirm:

  • Am I allowed to embed the purchased asset in my revenue-generating web application?
  • Can I heavily modify the asset in blender to fit the design, code, and user flow of my app?
  • Can users interact with the asset (rotate, zoom, etc.) within the browser, as long as they don’t have access to the raw 3D file?
  • Is it true that no attribution is required, and I don’t need to revenue share with the asset creator?

I want to make sure my team is fully compliant before integrating anything. If anyone from the Fab team or community has experience with similar use cases, I’d really appreciate your insight!

Thanks so much :raising_hands:

Happy Monday, @whoiskevintho, and welcome to the community!

You can find more information on the Fab EULA, which dives deeper into the license types and terms and can provide the necessary answers you’re looking for in full. There is also some information in the Licenses section of the Fab Documentation, but I recommend the EULA for your specific questions in this instance.

I hope this helps!
