Calling all UEFN devs – Register Now for the 2025 Epic MegaJam!

@Flak This seems very cool. I would love to participate, just have never done a Game Jam before. I will be participating by using UEFN solely. For UEFN, is there a GameJam Toolkit similar to what I see the UE community has listed in the resources on the Jam page: Game Jam Toolkit

I also see some of the requirements are as below and have some questions:
Project Requirements

  • The game must include custom gameplay that exceeds the gameplay found in Epic Games’ starter templates: How does this apply to UEFN games? I’m assuming for UEFN the reference is related to UEFN templates?

  • All art assets in the game must have a material other than “DefaultMaterial” applied to it: Does this apply to UEFN as well or how will games in UEFN be analyzed for use of materials?

  • Submissions must be packaged for Windows, MAC OS X, Android, or iOS (development build)—no full, unpackaged projects. VR and AR projects are are also accepted. Android games can be distributed via the Play Store as well.

I guess in UEFN we do not worry about this since UEFN already distributes to all the platforms, or are there other considerations to keep in mind? I would also love to learn more about mobile optimization in UEFN, but struggle to find good resources on it online. I draw from my personal experience in Web Development over the past 18 years, but would love to know more practical applications inside UEFN.

    • Where do we find the list of previous UEFN winners to understand what is required in terms of game jam type uefn games.

Any guidance in advance of the GameJam from the UEFN Epic Team will be great!
