Debugger in visual studio - not so useful if you’re not using code.
I’m getting freezes again without the HMD, so I guess this was a red herring anyway.

Having the exact same issue, happens every time for me now. I’ll try and reproduce in a completely clean project. Will report back…
I’m getting this too. My issue is that when I have Visual Studio open on my second monitor, the editor hangs. If I close it, it works fine.
Again, I’m talking about the editor hanging after playing a standalone game.
I can reproduce that when I drag my Visual Studio window on to the same monitor that is displaying my editor, the hang stops.
To narrow it down even further-- It doesn’t have to be visual studio. Watching a youtube video on a different monitor also creates the hang. Something to do with display adapter?
Hope that helps something.
This seems to be unrelated to Oculus. This problem is happening to me and I don’t have any VR headset at all.

Do you have any updates on this or need any more debug info?
Hmm it’s seriously affecting my work with 4.13. Guess I’ll have to downgrade to 4.12.
@ Let me know if you do want any extra debug details…
@Kisellev Thanks for the reply
It seems that they could not reproduce this issue at all((
Hello loraptor,
If you have any further information on how I could reproduce this issue on our end, please feel free to share that information and I will be happy to investigate further.
My replication steps :
I’ve attached a dxdiag and a cpuz report incase they are useful. I will try on a fresh reboot when I get a chance.
Cheers!
I’m experiencing the same issue, although I do have a Web Browser widget in my scene playing a Youtube video (Could be related?)
Sorry for the late reply…Here is my dxdiag
Hello everybody…I have an update. If I run epic games launcher as an administrator and then open the project, everything works just fine…I tried it multiple times also on a fresh new project…Editor always freezes after standalone game but when I run EGL as an admin there is no freezing anymore.
I hope it will help you guys as well.
This didn’t work for me sadly
I can reproduce the issue with exactly same steps in 4.12.5. Will freeze at 3rd time starting in Standalone. Geforce 970 with drivers 375.70
Hi
I have a GeForce chipset on my graphics card and got Nvidia GeForce Experience installed with the drives. My current version is 3.1.0.52. Under Settings in the General section there is a share option:
Switching that off solved the issue for me with Unreal Editor freezing after testing in Standalone mode.
I tested this on 4.13.2 with a blank blueprint project: desktop, max quality and no starter content. It kept freezing with the same setup when Share was enabled in GeForce Experience.
Hope this works for someone else, too!
EDIT: A fix for this is targeted for version 4.16: [UE-39240][2]
This seems to be working for me !!! a+ Gold star all that
it really works!! THX!!
Glad I could help!
