You will need to Open the Remote Control within Motion Design, and expose your Text value to it (when you have the Remote Control Tab opened a button should appear next to your property).
Once you expose it, you’ll need to drag it into the Controller Area. Save and you will be able to see that text field to edit in Rundown tool.
