I’ve got completely new instance of the editor (Mac edition installed today) and experience the same issue.
@, is there any other file of anything i can give you?
I’m in a real need to get this issue fixed as it’s starting to stop workflow. Anything, and with that i mean anything, i can supply you with as information?
Maybe useful info, if i disable “äuto connect to server” the clients aren’t black.
Thank you for that information. Unfortunately I can’t think of anything else to ask what would be of any use. I’ve contacted a developer on our networking team about the issue and hope to have a fix for you or at least an idea on why this is happening or where we need to focus soon.
Something else to take a look at in the meantime; A new, community-hosted Unreal Engine Wiki - Announcements - Epic Developer Community Forums
This lists all of the currently known software conflicts w/ the engine. While none of them list symptoms that match your issue, there is always the possibility.
Also, although it’s probably not going to help as you mentioned that the issue isn’t project related, could you send a project (even if it is a blank one) where the issue occurs for you? It’s best if we be as thorough as possible and exhaust all possibilities.
Hey,
Here’s a project i just created to test the issue in.

Thank you for the project. As expected, it works fine on my end. After speaking with other engineers, it seems that more logging will need to be added for us to actually see what is going on here. A report has been put in for adding that logging in particular. Unfortunately this means that we can’t diagnose the problem right now. I would suggest sticking with 4.10 at the moment since it works for you.
Another thing you can try in case it’s your engine installation in particular that is having this problems is to download 4.11.2’s source from Github and build it from that.
Just tried turning everything off(again) and somehow even though i’ve tried it before the incompatible program is NetWorx.
It’s a program that tracks network usage per program. Unsure why disabling it earlier didn’t do it but before using this as answer i’ll try to disable it again tomorrow so i can be sure this is the cause.
If it is you might wanna add it to the list you sent me earlier.
That sounds promising. I’ll be sure to add it as soon as you’ve confirmed that it’s the cause of your problem.
Seems like that deleted my reply too.
It sounds promising. I’ll be sure to add it to the list once you confirm that it is indeed causing the issue.
Accidentally deleted old message:
I got it working by disabling Networx, a tool that tracks network usage per program. I’m still not sure if this will fix it as it didn’t work the first time i tried so i’ll keep trying this after a few reboots and i’ll let you know if it works and keeps working after disabling the program.
Can confirm, NetWorx is giving the issues.
Glad to hear that the problem was identified / solved. I’ll be adding it to the software conflicts list.
In case someone else comes across this, all I did was disable NetGear Genie and that fixed it for me.
