I’m currently working on a FPS, and been doing the animations with the control rig for the UE5 Skeleton. It’s been great so far. However I’ve thought about using the Motion Matching Template from Epic or ALS in my project. The problem lies in them having a different skeleton, and I have a question: What would be the best workflow to work with this?.
The easiest would be to retarget their animations to the UE5 Skeleton and then add my stuff on top of it, however more towards the end I will want to have another character, and I would need to retarget again. Wouldn’t that be too much retargetting for one character? Does anyone have a good suggestion on what to do?
