Greetings

Update v2.1 for AVE II is now live and ready to download on FAB.

Here is what’s new:

  • Localization Support: We have added localization for both French and German.
    2026-01-24_Localization

  • Gallery Zoom: It is now possible to zoom in on individual media items in the gallery. Please note that it doesn’t support touch controls yet. This is just the first stage of the feature, and we will continue to refine it in future updates.
    2026-03-02_Gallery_Zoom_01

  • Widget Updates: Renamed WBP_TimeOfDay to WBP_CompassClock to better reflect its actual role, and fixed some of the functions.

Alongside these updates, we have included various other small tweaks and bug fixes.

Hi Karl, we appreciate your efforts and the brilliant work you’re doing.

However, $500 is just too overpriced for the package… especially in its early access stage.
We really hope you can relook into that.

Hi Karl Detroit,

Thanks for the update, what is the best way to update if we already started a project with the first version?

Hello @inbrains2000,

Thank you for the kind words and your feedback on the pricing. Actually, there will be a slight increase in price once the documentation is complete.

AVE II is designed mainly for developers who are already doing client work with the legacy ArchViz Explorer. We spent a lot of time making it unique to support projects that require professional workflows. For example, it is currently the only template out there using a material-based UI and Common UI. That feature alone takes weeks to implement properly into a project.

Please send us an email or PM if you would like to learn more about the features of the project and see it in action.

Hello Karl.

Please can you implement also button for all pois.
So that i can easily when poi is created togle on and off for extra button (with name i can easily change) and that button should open an external link. (Every poi should have its own button with custom link NOT that all pois got same link).
Similar like here in the video:
NB!! You see the function in SECOND PART OF THE VIDEO. I click on button and it opens EXTERNAL link.
Idea is to have all poi links SEPARATE!!

I have not used the product but was planing to buy it. I yust wanted to make sure that before i buy it has also this option. (basically buton to be able to open external link) and every poi can have its own external link (link what user wants to be used).

Greetings,

In the upcoming days, we will release our Easter Update. Here is a brief overview of what you can expect in AVE II v2.2.

  • Google Sheets CSV Integration

A free Add-On will utilize the third-party Runtime DataTable plugin to fetch Google Sheets CSV data to update units. This is similar to the implementation in the legacy ArchViz Explorer. Because this works at runtime, there will not be a need to package the project every time a data change is made.

  • CRM Data Alignment
There will be structural changes to the variables in S_InfoUnit and, consequently, to the Blueprints and Widgets that reference it. Variable types and naming conventions now align with industry-standard CRM software, such as Salesforce, Realpad, Propertybase, and Yardi. This will make the integration of CRM data from servers much easier.

  • External Links and Custom Events via Info Panel
@ISUther, we have added your request for external links. This feature will be included in the upcoming update. We are integrating a customizable button within the POI Info Panel to call external links and custom events. You can use this for actions such as opening a Web Browser Widget, playing cinematic sequences, or triggering specific events on a Reactor POI.

  • POI Media Gallery
It will be possible to open a dedicated media gallery, supporting both images and video, directly from each Point of Interest (POI).

Additionally, we have updated the Roadmap. Instead of dates, it now displays the specific version in which a feature was, or will be, introduced. We hope this will reduce clutter and provide a clearer overview

We wish everyone a happy Easter season!

Best regards,

Dennis & Stefan

Hello Karl.

Thank you for this update!
I see your team is working on this.
Description:

Integration of a customizable button within the POI Info Panel, enabling the execution of custom logic and events. This can be used for actions such as opening a Web Browser Widget, playing cinematic sequences, or triggering specific events on a Reactor POI.

I hope you can add option for adding and viewing for example .pdf document
I have for example case where customer wants to show off his factory and factory has its devices adding POI-s to devices and option to have one or more videos in the poi + option for client to open / read pdf document linked to that specific poi is useful option).
This makes your system more valuable also otside arhitecture.

I do not know is it possible but having extra field in the panels.
And option to swap furniture models
For example having variant 1 and variant 2 and more (You do not need to create furniture but have option in the system that wapsm the furniture)
For example in doll house 3D artist places furniture and saves the layout.
And then he creates another layout and saves it.
And now you get those layouts in the panel on the right for example via arrows arrow left shows previous layout and arrow right shows next layout. Andf it rotates beatween those.
. So client can swap beatween different furniture elements. What i have notices is that arhitecture companies and interior designers are searching for solution where they can load in their 3D model and have option to swap furniture and materials

Implemending those options inside makes tool verry useful and suable in many cases.
And option to add extra pop up windows inside the tool (also in dollhouse and in first person mode)

So that extra icons show up (option to make them always pop up or pop up when nearby or when clicked).
Similar as you see i have here in this virtual tour system.

Greetings!

We are excited to announce that the Google Sheets Add-On is now complete and working flawlessly!

A huge thanks to @Beka for testing the Add-On in its early stage. :folded_hands: During testing, he found that our Blueprint was triggering Unreal Engine’s infinite-loop error in scenes containing more than 400 units/POIs.

Thanks to this, we completely overhauled the Blueprint and transitioned from using nested Array / For Each Loops to a Map approach.

To give you an idea of the massive performance gain, let’s look at a scenario with 500 units:

  • The Old Approach: The engine had to run an expensive search, checking every row for every single unit. This resulted in around 250,000 operations the moment you hit play.
  • The New Approach: We now scan the Google Sheet data exactly once to build a Map with unique IDs. When a unit needs its data, it instantly pulls the correct row without searching. This reduces the workload to just 1,000 operations.

This optimization will make the data sync incredibly fast and lightweight and will be especially useful for large scale projects like high-rise buildings and skyscrapers. We do remember having crashes and freezes with those in the past.

This Add-On is part of the AVE II v2.2 update, which we will be submitting for review later in the day. :+1:

Hello @ISUther,

Thank you very much for the suggestions! :+1:

Update v2.2 will have the ability to open a media gallery (images and videos) by clicking on the preview image within the Info panel. You can easily duplicate the logic for the buttons in the Info panel to create a custom event, which could be used to open external files.

The functionality to swap furniture falls outside the scope of the template, but we will give it a second thought.

I will add your request for the additional pop-up windows to our Roadmap. You can actually achieve a similar result currently by maintaining the POIs for the Unit Features within the Dollhouse Mode. Currently they get disabled once you transition into FP Mode. We will think on how we could add a more sophisticated pop-up widget for the FP Mode without complicating everything.

Thank you Karl!!

I encountered today one client who asked is it possible to create a digital guide.
They have BIM buildings and they wanted to create a digital guide that guides users from building from room 1 to room 5 or tro another building room.
From building 1 floor 5 to building 2 floor 3 room 5 for example.
I have createds short ewxplanation and also added one UE plugin that i found that has interesting note system + system to add paths

I brainstormed a bit that is in my opinnion verry useful and will also increase value of your plugin.

Please let me know if you are willing to implemend this.

Here is video that shows path draw tool idea:

Here is video that shows slick system to display and hide info points (the one i mentioned to you before). Maby this will give extra ideas.

Here is idea for adding Notes inside the game mode (but this has to have option to turn it off also as if project is public people might start adding stupid notes to pixel streaming project).

If you want i can send you an e-mail and share the plugin name.

Greetings!

We are happy to share that update AVE II v2.2 is live on Fab. We changed quite a lot inside the project structure and made several optimizations.

:warning: Note that this update will only be available for Unreal Engine 5.7 and above.

:white_check_mark: New “Push” POI Registration:
Previously, the Game Instance had to scan the entire level using “Get All Actors of Class” to find all the POIs (the “Pull” method). We have rebuilt this using a “Push” architecture. Now, each POI simply introduces and categorizes itself to the Game Instance the moment it loads. This speeds up level load times and fixes startup timing bugs. Because of this, it is now also much easier to spawn and integrate live POIs and their data from APIs like Google Maps dynamically at runtime!

:white_check_mark: CRM Data Alignment:
We made changes to the variable types and names in S_InfoUnit and, consequently, to the Blueprints and Widgets that reference it. Variable types and naming conventions now align with industry-standard CRM software, such as Salesforce, Realpad, Propertybase, and Yardi. This will make the integration of CRM data from servers much easier.

:white_check_mark: Google Sheets Integration:

Our free Add-On will utilize the third-party Runtime DataTable plugin to fetch Google Sheets CSV data to update units. This is similar to the implementation in the legacy ArchViz Explorer. Because this works at runtime, there will not be a need to package the project every time a data change is made. We also replaced old nested loops with Map (Dictionary) structures, meaning data retrieval for massive projects (400+ units) is now basically instant.

:white_check_mark: Media Gallery for POIs:
You can now open the Media Gallery (supporting both images and videos) simply by clicking on the preview image within the POI Info panel.

Hi,

I recently purchased AVE II – ArchViz Explorer for my real estate / architectural presentation workflow.

Overall, I really like the direction of AVE II, especially the POI system, camera navigation, UI structure, and the idea of building a modern archviz presentation framework.

However, after exploring the project, I noticed that I could not find built-in support for two features that are very important for real estate presentations:

  1. 720 / 360 panorama viewer

  2. Multi-image gallery or media gallery per POI

These features are quite essential for my use case, because most real estate projects require not only camera navigation between spaces, but also the ability to show multiple rendered images, reference images, or panorama views for each POI / room.

Could you please let me know:

  1. Are 720 / 360 panorama viewing features currently included in AVE II?

  2. Is there a built-in multi-image / media gallery system that I may have missed?

  3. If these features are not currently included, are they planned for a future update?

  4. Is there any recommended workaround or tutorial for adding these features into AVE II?

  5. Would it be possible to provide an example Blueprint setup for connecting a POI to multiple images or a panorama viewer?

I am not asking for a refund. I would really prefer to keep using AVE II as the base framework, but I need to understand whether these features are supported, planned, or if I should build them manually on top of the system.

Thank you for your help, and I would appreciate any guidance you can provide.

Best regards,
Lester

Hello Lester,

Thank you for your positive feedback! :two_hearts:

The 360 panorama viewer, along with a “balcony view” mode, has been requested by several other users. Our recommendation for a 360 panorama is to use a third-party online service and display it by using the Web Browser Plugin within Unreal Engine. This keeps the application lightweight and flexible. We will add the balcony view mode to our roadmap, and we will include it in the upcoming v2.3 update.

The multi-image media gallery for each POI is already available in Update v2.2 (UE 5.7 only), which we released a couple of weeks ago. To access the media gallery, you simply need to click on the image inside the Info Panel.

Please feel free to send us a PM or email, in case you have a tight deadline or need some guidance in adding a 360 panorama.

Best regards,

Dennis

Hello there
First of all, congratulation for your work, it made learning unreal and bluprint very pleasent.
i recently purchased AVE II and i ha few questions :

  1. where do you customize the ui materials in order tp make them adapt to the client graphic identity and can also the font be changed ?
  2. being used to AVE I, you made it very clear in your first documentation about how to change the initial camera position, is it still the same path in AVE II
  3. Can the camera sequence of the intro be also changed , if not , can the intro be skipped totally.
glad to be part of this community as i’ll keep testing the template and giving my feedback
    Thanks

Taha

Also last question
Is it possible to have multiple DollHouses for example for two bedrooom type appartements and another for Three bedrooms appartements. which bluprint will let me connect a POI to one type and another appartement to the other type ?
Thanks

Taha

Hello @bigitit0x,

Thank you for the kind words!

  1. The UI is entirely material-based and might feel a bit complex at first. The main advantage is that you can change colors, opacity, and effects dynamically (we recommend playing the app in a new editor window).
You can find the UI materials in the folder AVEII > UI > Materials. Most menus and panels use the material instance MI_UI_MenuBorder_SoftDarkBlue located in that folder.
    Change UI color

  2. Yes, it is still the same as in the legacy ArchViz Explorer. The location where you place the main pawn (BP_AVE_Pawn_Exp) in your map becomes your starting point.

  3. The Player Controller (BP_AVE_PC) controls the intro sequence. To change it, you can assign a different Level Sequence to the IntroSequence variable. If you want to skip the intro entirely, disconnect the Create Level Sequence Player node, and connect the line to a new Enable Inputs event instead.
