I just wanted to post my simple solution to my Character’s feet being sunken into the floor:
Open up the character’s Anim BP and then double click on the Control Rig node to edit it.
In the details panel, look for the ShouldDoIKTrace boolean, Right Click it and choose Find References > By Name. Double clicking on the one reference it finds will jump you over to the CR Mannequin Basic Foot IK section.
On step 4 it finalizes the Z Offsets, so I just inserted an Add node, plugged in a Floor Offset variable and exposed it. While playing around I found that the offset for the pelvis works best when it’s twice the offset of the feet, so I added a multiply node for it. This way you can use the one offset value to offset everything at once.
Go back to your Anim BP and Select the Control Rig node and under Inputs you’ll see your FloorOffset variable you created. Check the “Use Pin” checkbox and you’ll now have a value directly in the Control Rig Node for offsetting the feet and pelvis.
*In hindsight I should have named it height offset as it’s not offsetting the floor, but the character’s height. If you character is floating, just use a negative value.
You won’t see the result until you simulate or Play.
