bump for the same question as BlackLeopard.
Evermotion beat me to the punch
And believe it or not, I just read over the evermotion tutorial, and most of it was “read the documentation” or… basic. I can continue on with the series as I am currently waiting for 4.8 to hit. I figured that Evermotion being the ArcViz asset company, that they would have something a bit better than what I could come up with. Sadly, I was wrong
Their failure is your opportunity, SaviorNT, I say go for it. (there certainly is a need for a good, thorough introduction to UE for Archviz, especially now as there are so many different ways of lighting etc.)
SaviorNT - I am dying to see your tutorial.
Myself & my brother really want to take this as a serious spare-time hobby of ours.
(he has some experience in Cinema4D modeling).
I would love a detailed explanation on the pipeline to go from a Cinema4D model (like a piano) to having it in UE4.
(how to export correctly from C4D ? how to import correctly into UE4 ? so many things to take into account - multiple meshes,
each having a different material, UV map(s) ?, lighting of the model, import as single mesh or multiple meshes, etc …)
Anyway - will be eagerly waiting !
I have some experience with C4D, but that has been many, many years ago. At least the concepts will transfer over, as 3d modelling programs are essentially the same with the exception of UI / terminology.
I am too dying to see your tutorial.
I am more interested in a “best practices” video when it comes to the 3D Modeling step. I figured out not too long ago to never split a wall, floor out other flat surfaces for lightmass. Do it at corners where you shouldn’t run into a horrible, obvious seam. Things like that, but specific to archviz (if there is much to go off of).
In UE4 it would be nice to see tutorials about making it interactive with movable furniture, swappable meshes, swappable materials, better looking materials (I have seen a lot of ue4 archviz videos where everything looks like plastic).
Oh my! Did I find the right place to start learning UE4 ArchViz!
I’m definitely gonna stick around here and wait for this! thanks in advance SaviorNT!
Cinema 4D to UE4 “how to” (interiors) from start to finish (for dummies) would be great
