Architectural of a fictive town house

Hi guys,

Over the last year I worked on this virtual townhouse. It’s based on a real place in Canberra, Australia. Google maps link is here:

The building and most of the furniture are created by myself, but I also used quite a few assets from the marketplace, like all the vegetation, a lot of the smaller objects, chairs, etc. - some had to be a bit optimized. The scene currently runs well on my old GTX 660 Ti. It might run over 100 fps on a 980. There is no interactivity right now. All the lights are static except the sun light which is stationary.

It’s not a classic architectural visualization as you see them done with 3ds max and vray. It’s more a game developers approach to it. Most settings are pretty standard and the same as they are in Epic’s free example level. I tried to make it a “normal people’s house” not some super designed white palace.

All feedback is welcome. What do you think?

What is the framerate running at 1920x1080? I noticed your getting a lot of tearing. I get that too. Would make a beautiful game. I like it.

Framerate is about 50-60 on my GTX 660 Ti. All assets are low poly and many use only one material. The most expensive asset is probably the little camera from one of the evermotion packages in the master bedroom with 6 ids and about 6000 verts. I wanted to have only optimized assets in the scene. So running around on a standard PC or laptop would be ok.
The video is not very good I know. It’s more or less my first try. - I also was waiting for 4.12 and the new sequencer. I also started another unit in a more traditional arch viz style. But I won’t try to replicate vray. I may try that when vray runs on 60fps
