I made a quick project and threw in around 40 sounds (and made them play in order on begin play just to confirm they are actually packaging.)
I did an android and windows build at 44500 sample rate in the project settings, and one at 8000 (extreme example) and they are the same size.
Also, I play tested the 8000 hz windows build (can’t deploy to android at the moment) and the sound is very obviously not at 8000hz; the audio is still nice and crisp
