Animation Mode -> Rig Options

Hello! I accidentally found this feature a while back, but only now realized how to make it appear:

Animation Mode Tab → Rig Options

To have it show up:

  1. Add Manny to a Sequencer with a Control Rig
  2. Add a Layered FK Control Rig
  3. Rig Options now shows up in the Animation Tab

All the rig’s Variables appear here, including IK Switches, Stretch, and so on. Variables that are used throughout the rig for various settings.

Before this, I had to click a specific Control and change the option in the Anim Details.

Question:
Is it possible to have this Rig Options portion always show up without needing to first create a Layered FK Control Rig? I have searched far and wide, and have not found any mention about this Rig Options.
