Animate weapon recoil on pistol that is a skeletal mesh

Hello! Im making a fps game, using a thirdperson template. My pistol gun asset that I have is a skeletal mesh that i have attached to the players hand. The skeletal mesh is rigged with bones and in the skeletal mesh editor it is possible to move the bones.

I want the slider on the top of the gun to move back when fired. It has a slider bone in the skeletal mesh.

What is the best way to implement this?

I cant do a regular timeline because its a skeletal mesh, it would move the whole gun back and not just the slider on the pistol.

Cant find any tutorials or help for this problem. Would be glad for any help from more experienced devs😁
