Android Game freezes after a few seconds of launch

Hello, ,

I’m also going through the same problem with my project. After a few seconds the game freezes and then back to normal. This problem recurs throughout the game… It’s as if my mobile did not have enough processing power to run the game. I have made changes to reduce the quality of the implanted material, but still the problem persists. I am using the same model Mobile LoN, which is a Motorola G2. Does the problem is in our mobile? I will try to do a test on another mobile of another model to see if this problem persists on another device.

From my experience i got this answer:

UE4 does not support the majority of android phones. I tested the same project on a samsung S(Don’t remember the number. it was a stronger hardware phone) and all worked ok.
At that time, i was using UE 4.8. I have no idea what 4.13 offers as i’ve never tried mobile development ever since.

If you find out something I would like to know too.

Have a good day v.el :slight_smile:

Hello and LoN,

I disabled the Cast shadow functions, Cast Translucent Shadows Cast Static Shadows and Cast Dynamic Shadows, all from of component Light Source (instance) and took place the following events:

01 - The game stopped freeze and returned to have fluidity in Simulate and Mobile Modes Preview (PIE);

02 - The animation of the character in Mobile Preview mode stopped working;

03 - When I compiled the game directly to my device Motorola Moto G2, the game became totally frozen.

How to solve the problems described in items 2 and 3? I realized that in this case the game freeze problem when run on the device is directly connected to the lighting, but I do not know how to solve it.
